romanian passport

i have been to the uk three times. first time for a year. i have recently applied for a new visa, since my friend invited us over for a party. and since ryanair is flying directly from tampere, we thought: why not. we bought the plane tickets and tickets for lion king show in london. after all these expenses, the uk consulate in helsinki refused to give me the visa. it doesn't matter that i have a five year finnish resident permit, a full time permanent job, and a credit card. apparently they want to see the money that i claim to have for the trip on my account. credit card, apparently, can't be taken into consideration. how unfair is that!? as far as i know, quite a big procentage of brits leave off of credit... it doesn't matter that i have travelled to about 15 different countries and i have never ever had any problem with the authorities and neither did i ever apply for public funds in the uk or anywhere else. it seems that because of my romanian passport, i am a persona non grata :( i reapplied. waiting for the decision...
